NEW YORK (AP) - HBO, explains Michael Douglas takes to the keyboard for his upcoming film of the legendary pianist Liberace.
"Behind the candelabra"will be directed by Steven Soderbergh."" He will also star Matt Damon: Scott Thorson, the young family lover of the flamboyant entertainer, be played by Douglas. HBO announced Tuesday.
The title of the film refers to the brand always candelabra on grand piano of Liberace when it occurs. He was also known for its outrageous costumes and extravagant jewellery.
67 Douglas has struggled recently in against cancer of the throat, but last January, he announced his tumour was gone and predicted that he had beaten the disease.
"Behind the candelabra"must begin production next summer."". No release has been announced.
