Geneva (AP) - an agency of the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie says is currently visiting Libya, although only in a personal capacity.
A spokesman for the High Commissioner to the United Nations for refugees, Adrian Edwards, said Tuesday that American actress nevertheless plans to meet UNHCR representatives and aid groups in the country.
The agency based in Geneva, said last week that he discussed a more important role for Angelina Jolie having received 5 million in donations from him during the last decade.
Angelina Jolie has visited dozens of countries to promote the cause of refugees in his 10 years as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR.
Thousands of Libyans have fled their homes during the uprising against Muammar al-Gaddafi, even if many have returned since the fall of man of the fort.
